The European Surveillance Veterinary Antimicrobial Consumption (ESVAC) project’s draft vision and strategy document for 2016-2020 has been launched by the EMA (Link). More detailed recording of veterinary antibiotic use in Europe, including levels of use in individual species, is expected to enable policy-makers to devise better strategies for combating AMR.
