The press release from the CVMP meeting that took place on 13-15 January 2015 is now available to view here. The following general updates are noted:
A reflection paper was adopted on the risk of antimicrobial resistance transfer from companion animals following the close of the public consultation.
A guideline was adopted on risk characterisation and assessment of MRLs for biocides used in animal husbandry following the public consultation.
A draft revised guideline was adopted for public consultation on the procedure to be followed when a batch of a vaccine finished product is suspected to be contaminated with bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV).
The CVMP elected Jean-Claude Rouby as chair of the newly formed Ad Hoc Group on Novel Veterinary Therapies (ADVENT).
