Modeling of Reactive Mass Transport Processes in Subsurface Systems

OpenGeoSys Tutorial - Computational Hydrology III: OGS#IPhreeqc Coupled Reactive Transport Modeling
19 January, 2018

Interested in learning more about the use of OpenGeoSys (OGS) in the context of modeling subsurface processes in environmental systems? Then you might want to have a look at the Computational Hydrology Series (OpenGeoSys Tutorial I-III), one of our environmental modeling experts (Wenkui He) contributed to.

The recently published third book within this series “Computational Hydrology III: OGS#IPhreeqc Coupled Reactive Transport Modeling” (Jang, E. et al., 2017) focusses on the application of a coupling between the open-source software OpenGeoSys (OGS) and the geochemical solver PHREEQC in order to model reactive transport in environmental subsurface systems. General information on reactive transport modeling, a step-by-step setup of models with OGS#IPhreeqc and related components, as well as benchmark examples are presented.
