Shiran Qiu (CPS), Libby Liebig (CPS), and Steffi Sacher (knoell) attended the Environmental Modeling Public Meeting (EMPM) on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the EPA offices in Arlington, VA. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and exchange information related to modeling pesticide fate, transport, and exposure for pesticide risk assessments in a regulatory context. The meeting covered several tools and models including the new Spatial Aquatic Model (SAM) that is still under development, the TED tool for terrestrial risk assessment, the Endangered Species Act (ESA) weight-of-evidence tool, and the TIM-McNest model. There were also discussions on the impact of variability in non-target terrestrial plant studies on endpoint selection and discussions on a watershed-scale refined flowing water exposure modeling approach for endangered species assessments. CPS knoell is committed to following latest developments in environmental fate modeling. Contact us to learn more about our services!
